The ' I ' Specialist

The 'Eye' Specialist in the medical term is called an Ophthalmologist ! However there may be many in our midst who may be an ‘I’ specialist or for that matter may have met  few ‘I’ specialists at some point in time . 

Well how do we recognise this kind of - specialist  ? The ‘I’ specialist specialises in putting themselves first in everything - This means ' I ' want to have my way all the time , ' I ' know  everything , ' I ' need to have the last word in every conversation, ' I ' am right and the others are wrong ,' I ' need to be in charge always, ' I ' need to be in the limelight , I- I -I all the time !!!! 

Sometimes I feel that it’s only the great  “ I am “ who can open their eyes to see things in a better perspective. It’s ok to let go , it’s fine to put others before you , it’s good to hear what the other person's perspective is even if that means if it’s coming from a junior employee at work , from your child , a woman , a man , your daughter-in-law , your son-in-law , your help at home , or even someone whom you don't hold in high esteem . 

There is only one ' I ' specialist that I know who is perfect in every way . He is no other than Jesus who said that ‘ I am the way , the truth and the Life'. I am the good shepherd, I am your healer , I am your provider , I am the alpha and the Omega , I came that you may have life , I love you with an everlasting love.

If you have had an encounter with this ' I ' specialist - Jesus , you will always want to put others first. If you have not met Him as yet , then He is waiting to meet you . No prior appointments required . He in fact is waiting with His arms open wide . We need to take that step that can be life changing.

  When our little dachshund Coffee, was tiny and when we all had to step out , we had to keep her closed in the kitchen . The kitchen has three doors , so it was a bit of challenge to keep her in and have the doors  closed as she would dash out from the other. So we had to strategically close two doors and leave her in and shut the door on her. This was done only for three months period as we then had a help who became available full time. Every married woman desires to be a mother . For those of them who have had tough pregnancies and even found it difficult to conceive, the process would have been so tough and overwhelming.   I have been through my share of hardships and after 7 years into the marriage I finally got the   positive report of being in the family way. . However 4 weeks into the pregnancy I encountered a major problem something not normal to go through when with child. I remember that Sunday evening so well , the doctors were not available but I was rushed to the hospital to see what could be done . They could not run any tests but asked us to come back the following day for a scan . But from the conversations that I overheard from the medical team they said there was a high probability of me having lost the foetus . A two way street

  I  am sure most of you can relate to this one - or may we be awakened to the fact that every relationship is a two way street . Be it in a marriage, between siblings, between friends , parents & children.. and the many other relationships that we have.   The fuel to keep every relationship alive is love and a one way relationship does not last long. It either dies down or burns out . It’s a struggle to keep the flame alive .  Though we have people say - you know what - though we have not been in touch, you have always been in my heart and in my thoughts.
