Bangalore days have been a great chapter in my life . One of my greatest blessings was my first job where I made friends for life . 

I stayed in a hostel and commuted to work. The food at hostels one need not explain -and a welcome change was times that I had opportunities to stay with cousins or friends and have some good home cooked meals . 

Once I went to keep a friend company as her husband was traveling . At the middle of night something woke me up. As though I could sense danger. I saw a hand coming in through the window. I woke up my friend and we both froze .Then we heard someone trying to open the back door. Though the thief did not succeed in breaking into the house we had such a horrific and a traumatic night.  When we went to work and told our colleagues they were horrified too. Some of my friends advised that I should not go back there that evening . I was scared too but went back again as I did not want my friend to be alone and anyways the following day her husband was supposed to be back.The landlord and family staying in the ground floor too was alerted . However after that the thief did not come back again . 

I have heard robbers and thieves who break into homes and get away with money , jewellery and valuables and also innocent lives being lost . This has caused traumatic impact on people and their lives . Have we ever heard of thieves who come and leave presents and goodies home ? That would be very weird! 

Jesus in the Bible says ,

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that we may have life, and have it to the full.”John 10:10 

Jesus gave Himself up on the cross and emptied himself so that we may enjoy fullness in every areas of our lives . In our health, in our finances, in our marriage , in school , at work , in our homes , practically in every areas! 

Don’t let the thief, the enemy , Satan rob you of your joy and peace . He is good at creating confusions , discord , distrust , envy, hatred, anger , and bring in deceit through adultery, lust , pride . We start to open doors in our lives when we start to sin . It may all begin with a small lie and then another to keep it going and it goes on till we are in one big mess and before we realise the enemy would have captured lives . 

The enemy love it’s when he sees us living a double standard life . One that’s counterfeit to be seen in public places and the other life we lead in our homes . 

I was so bothered when our friends were shifting next door in our apartment complex as they would hear me shout when I was angry at my son🙈. WOW . Was that not being double standard ? I had to put a check to my anger and patience and work in my life first and be right with God. I rather kick the enemy out in the areas that I struggled and partner with God and the Holy Spirit to set my self right ! 

I did not allow my weakness to rule me . “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in heavenly realms.”

Ephesians 6:12. I did identify where it was steaming from and took a hold of it .

So lets come today before His throne of grace and lay it all down.Any or every areas that we struggle in . Give it all to our Maker who fashioned us. If we admit our sins God is willing to bring a change in us and our situations . It took God just a day to create the sun , the moon and the stars . We are all work in progress . No one is perfect , we all need some chiselling and pruning and shaping to come back to shape . Be on the ‘ GODLY DIET - the Bible ‘ and follow it strictly so that we do not gain unnecessary weight in sin .
