Facial recognition denied 🙄🙃

Last week during the Passion week celebrations, I was kind of confined in bed fighting a bacterial infection that in a way changed my facial appearance. The infection was in the eyes paired with swelling in the face. I failed to recognise myself in the mirror,so why would I blame the IOS App that failed to pick up my Face ID 😂?

Everyone of us immaterial of our age and gender love to look good. I am not talking about a bad hair day or days that we look tired, but of the obsession that we all have to look good and I definitely am no exception to that desire !

So more than the discomfort and pain, I felt quite conscious of my countenance specially when I attended all the zoom calls 😉. But trust me, certain life lessons teaches us that most situations in our life are beyond our control . The healing in my eyes and face took about 10 days but the prayers and comfort that I received was overwhelming .  

I decided to shift the focus from it being " all about me " to the beautiful messages, learnings and new findings I gathered about Maundy Thursday , Good Friday and  Easter. I was overwhelmed, I was even more in awe of our God . Just like the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.” Psalms 42:1 

Jesus the Son of God ,The Prince of Peace,The fairest of ten thousands , The author of Life in the cross had no beauty or majesty to attract us to Him, nothing in His appearance that we should desire Him. He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain- [Isaiah 53:2-3]

So does it really matter how we look ? Are we going to be young and beautiful always ?? How long are we going to be on this planet earth ? Will the earth still revolve if I am not around ? As a reality check -are we not like the lilies that are here today and gone tomorrow[Matthew 6:30]? Why do we think so much about the body that is one day going to perish? Dust we are and to dust we all return [Genesis 3:19]. When oh when will we shift our focus from the mundane to higher things !! 

Jesus said I am the WAY the TRUTH and the LIFE[John 14:6] . So if anyone of us are lost and need to find direction , anyone seeking truth and clarity , anyone looking for a purpose driven life , come back to your creator and author of life . He is willing to reset your hectic life into a life of retrospection and gratitude . So here we are in lockdown , being locked in and been given quality time to know about HIM who is the only one who matters the MOST ! 

Come back to what should be our first love - God 
Come back to the second love - for one another

Couple of my watches required battery replacement …. but oufff the price in this region to change the battery can be more expensive than buying a new watch 🫠 However we figured out the place where we could get original batteries at half price and with a guarantee for 2 years .. woooo that was amazing .  The watch repairer was a very unassuming person who took his tools and carefully opened the side of the watch where the battery had to be replaced.  And boy the insides of the watch looked so amazing … intricately done and it needed someone with precision and understanding to get the watch working again . The wrong pin 🙃

All excited for our ladies day out , I headed to meet my friend for a time of fun and gastronomic treats . I followed the location pin she shared with me and once I heard “ you have arrived, your destination is to your right "  very expectantly I stepped out but to my utter disappointment could not locate the building where my friend lived. I argued with the security that the building should be somewhere around and that he might not be aware 🫢.  However when I called my friend she agreed to have made the mistake of sending me the location pin of her office instead of the residence pin 📌 🙆‍♀️. Humbled and apologising to the security I now had to reroute and drive to the right address being behind our schedule by 45 mins .   Putting things into perspective and applying this into life , how often do we blindly follow people , ideas , religion, and end up in places and situations that we least expect.   How is it we are so blind to the fact that there is only one TRUT...

2 Corinthians   2:15   One Sunday morning on one of my metro rides in Delhi , I got super impressed when I saw a young gentleman(non Indian) carrying a big Bible with him . During our very short conversation he told me that he is new in Delhi and still figuring out a church to go to . I was happy to help and decided to give him my number when he asked me for the same.   However this was a bad decision. Despite him knowing that I have a family he started   to bother me with unwanted calls . It was getting too much that my husband had to intervene. He was upset that I trusted a stranger with my number. However I got easily misled by the big Bible that he was carrying and thought he would be a fine gentleman! Must say this incident left me to be more wiser and discerning. Carrying a Bible does not mean that we carry Christ like qualities in us . Christ like qualities translate into actions .
