Excess baggage? Paid in full !!!!

Some of the airlines do have a way of flaunting some real attractive fares . It’s only when we look at the T&Cs that we realise that we need to pay for baggage fees , service fees, fuel surcharges and a few other charges. Net net we end up paying much more than what was promised initially. 

While moving countries we got our tickets booked with Emirates Airlines . Though we tried to minimise our luggage and ship most of the things our excess baggage amounted to 10 kgs totally  (amongst the three of us). 

My husband being a very straightforward person took out the wallet to pay the excess baggage fees  . Me being me went up to the executive and requested for a waiver . My reasoning was that we were flying the world's best airline and technically the excess baggage would amount to a meager 3.3kgs if it was divided amongst the three of us . My logic and reasoning worked well and they waived off the excess baggage cost  😃- after all it was definitely worth a try - and we saved 10 k ! 

Some of us walk this journey of life totally caving in to the baggages that we carry. Baggages from our past , our hurts our failures our unfulfilled desires our pains our unforgiveness all piling up into one big excess baggage. 

How on earth do we even cope up with it ? 

The Bible says that we dont have to carry any burden at all -

Come to me, all you who are troubled and weighed down with  care, and I will give you rest, Matthew 11:28 . We just need to pray this simple prayer .

Have we ever tried to lay it all down and rest under the umbrella of His saving grace,forgiveness and love ? Christ paid a huge price for each one of us by laying down His life . So that in Him we may lead a life of liberty , peace and joy. Not being overburdened, and not being consumed by the weight and cares of life. 

He wants each one of us to lead a glorious and victorious life ! 

So asking and seeking God to take off that baggage(burden) and pain may be worth the while , Try doing it . He is faithful to His word. 

I have heard of a story which goes like this . A couple buys tickets to go on a cruise holiday . They have a decent holiday but eat very meagrely on board the cruise ship to avoid paying a hefty amount at the end of their holiday . However at the end of their holiday they realised that the ticket included all the meals on the cruise and nothing extra was to be paid .  How they wished they knew it and enjoyed their meals fully well. All that they had to do was  read the details and inclusion given in the ticket . 

Read the word -THE BIBLE and know it well . Lots of treasures to be unlocked and found . Don’t be unaware and ignorant of all that you can avail and partake here in this Life . Dont reach the fag end of life regretting that you could have had a better life knowing God and the truth and the promises that we have in HIM.
