Be His favoured child

Our passports had to be renewed as soon as possible for a travel that we had . Sometimes the time and process that is taken can be a little cumbersome in India [ though I believe that things are lot better now ]. Our aunt knew the passport officer of that particular region and we walked right in to his cabin and he helped us in getting the process expedited faster. That's finding favour .

For almost one week instead of paying for the parking ticket for my car  I was paying the parking fees against my hubby’s car ( side effects of copy paste ) . Being a very ‘fine city' literally and also if the parking time lapses, for every  couple of minutes the authorities slam a hefty fine . I am not saying or propagating something wrong but it was a human error but I found favour and realised that I was not slammed fine for even a single day.

Talking of favour two weeks back I got a call from my child’s bus attendant and i was told that I need to reprimand my son as he is loud in the bus . My first reaction would be to give my son a piece of mind even before hearing his version . But now that I do things differently I had a chat with my son first. Though he needed to be corrected in certain areas the rest I could understand was things being blown out of proportion by the bus driver and the attendant . Hope I am not being mean when I say this but I wished that the bus driver would change his mind set . How can you even think of kids being quiet in a bus like they would be in a class room . 

Me and my son sought favour in this and prayed about it . 3-4 days back I noticed that they had a new bus driver . I asked my son this morning- so what’s it like with the new driver . He mentioned it’s peaceful and better . Is that not Gods favour? 

For some of us it may sound weird . But we have the keys to unlock Gods favour and blessings . And that’s being right with God in your heart , seeking what’s right , doing what’s right and praying with the right motive - then you have prayers being answered . 

I find happiness even in knowing and understanding that in even the small to the big matters we have a God who sees , hears and understands . Just like how a father and mother watches over their children does not our Heavenly Father watch and care for us and in a deeper way.

Like how Queen Ester found favour in the eyes of King Xerxes , how Daniel found favour in the eyes of the King Nebuchadnezzar II,  , how Nehemiah found favour with the King Artaxerxes , Ruth finding favour with Boaz her Kinsman redeemer , we have favour in the eyes of our King and kinsman redeemer - CHRIST JESUS !

If you don’t know who is this King of Kings and Lord of Lords then all you need to do is say this prayers out loud - 

Jesus I know you are God and I accept you as my saviour and Lord . Teach me to do your will and help me to know you better , in Jesus name I pray - Amen !

Couple of my watches required battery replacement …. but oufff the price in this region to change the battery can be more expensive than buying a new watch 🫠 However we figured out the place where we could get original batteries at half price and with a guarantee for 2 years .. woooo that was amazing .  The watch repairer was a very unassuming person who took his tools and carefully opened the side of the watch where the battery had to be replaced.  And boy the insides of the watch looked so amazing … intricately done and it needed someone with precision and understanding to get the watch working again . The wrong pin 🙃

All excited for our ladies day out , I headed to meet my friend for a time of fun and gastronomic treats . I followed the location pin she shared with me and once I heard “ you have arrived, your destination is to your right "  very expectantly I stepped out but to my utter disappointment could not locate the building where my friend lived. I argued with the security that the building should be somewhere around and that he might not be aware 🫢.  However when I called my friend she agreed to have made the mistake of sending me the location pin of her office instead of the residence pin 📌 🙆‍♀️. Humbled and apologising to the security I now had to reroute and drive to the right address being behind our schedule by 45 mins .   Putting things into perspective and applying this into life , how often do we blindly follow people , ideas , religion, and end up in places and situations that we least expect.   How is it we are so blind to the fact that there is only one TRUT...

2 Corinthians   2:15   One Sunday morning on one of my metro rides in Delhi , I got super impressed when I saw a young gentleman(non Indian) carrying a big Bible with him . During our very short conversation he told me that he is new in Delhi and still figuring out a church to go to . I was happy to help and decided to give him my number when he asked me for the same.   However this was a bad decision. Despite him knowing that I have a family he started   to bother me with unwanted calls . It was getting too much that my husband had to intervene. He was upset that I trusted a stranger with my number. However I got easily misled by the big Bible that he was carrying and thought he would be a fine gentleman! Must say this incident left me to be more wiser and discerning. Carrying a Bible does not mean that we carry Christ like qualities in us . Christ like qualities translate into actions .
