Faith over Fear

Oh taste and see that the Lord is good , blessed is he who takes refuge in Him - Psalms 34:8 There is a miracle fruit which is also know as Synsepalum dulcificum ! When someone has this fruit their tastebuds are temporarily rewired and anything that is had in the next few hours tastes sweet .The secret to the fruit’s taste-transforming power is in a protein called miraculin. You can have anything   that’s sour, pungent or spicy but since your taste buds are re-wired everything that you eat will taste sweet.     Each of us go through life’s storms in some form or the other . Some bitter experiences , hurts , betrayals , health issues or challenges of some sort . And those of us who have experienced God's love and saving grace can confidently proclaim like the psalmist David , 'Oh taste and see that the Lord is good' . So   the Miracle fruit temporarily rewires our taste buds but our knowing God and our walk with Him can forever rewire our faith and trust in Him.  A good frie

My Cuckoo clock and the cuckoo man

My Cuckoo clock and the cuckoo man   I always dreamed of owning a cuckoo clock and I was fortunate enough to pick an authentic one from Germany, its place of origin. A beautiful and intricate piece of pure craftsmanship,  the clock worked very well until our bundle of joy arrived . It amused him so much that he used to gaze at it just to see the cuckoo come out of her cute fancy little window. However one fine day he pulled the winding chains so hard that it   came crashing down. To our good luck and the grace of Almighty the clock did not fall on him nor did the clock break .   But in the light of what happened we decided not to use the clock for couple of years . When we finally took it out ,it had accumulated dirt and grime .   I took it to the shopping arcade in Gurgaon ( India )to get it  repaired. The shop owner quoted a price and I agreed  to  it . I asked him for a receipt and he said that his word was good enough. He appeared to be busy and me asking for a receipt again prompte

Flying saucers and flying chicken 🤣

New to Delhi, we were put up in company accommodation for few weeks . The fine dining options were extremely good at all the three restaurants which served authentic Indian , American & Chinese cuisines. One afternoon , I decided to dine at the American restaurant where I ordered steaks with few sides . When the food arrived it looked super good and I could not wait to get my first bite . Taking the fork and knife I cut into the chicken and before I knew it the chicken flew off the plate and landed a few meters away . To my good luck it did not land on anyone or on anyone else’s table .   The restaurant was packed that day and all heads started to turn in my direction. I was about to get up and leave as I was caught up in an embarrassing moment. Just as I got up, I saw the Restaurant manager walk in my direction . Before I could say anything he folded his hands saying “ Mam my sincere apologies, we have had many cases of flying chicken ! Please do allow us to get you

When do you cower behind a sofa ?

I hit the pause button on my blogs ✍️ as there were so much of spiritual manna already with zooms classes and Bible study meetings happening during this time. But yes , like someone rightly said "even if one message touches one soul the joy is manifold" !   So coming to today’s blog , it’s about our sweet little pup- Coffee.  So grab yourself a cuppa coffee and read on - Coffee loves me to bits and she knows that the feeling is mutual 💜. However she also knows that when she does some mischief then I am at her case .   Despite we getting her toys to chew on she loves chewing into our carpets and slippers . She knows that’s a big NO and when she figures out that her mischief is exposed, she runs and cowers behind our sofa .   Net net she has to be in her naughty corner with no exchange of pleasantries from either parties at least for an hour.   She really understands her time out well and when I go to release her from the corner she leaps in joy an
