Love another day💜💜 💜??

As a student of English literature I loved Wordsworth’s poems and the Shakespearean  Sonnets . One of my favourite’s being - 

Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove.
O no, it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wand'ring bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken."

Shakespeare is talking of love between two lovers . A love that is steadfast, unshakable and unmeasurable 💜

What does the Bible speak of LOVE 
1Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Wow that’s selfless love ! So rare to find . But the one who understood and put it into practice would be people like Mother Theresa who gave up her life loving and caring for others 

Gods Love for us :John3: 16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Since blood was required to bring us remission of sins , God sent us His only son,  spotless and pure to be a perfect sacrifice for us . Jesus felt pain, felt rejection , felt humiliated but never stopped loving . As His words on the cross was “ Father forgive them for they know not what they are doing “ !! SUCH LOVE . SUCH A PRICE - but comes as a free gift to us . Can we take a hold of it today . And say -Jesus We believe you , you are Lord and Saviour of my LIFE !! Let the truth set us free .

The story of Jeremy inspires me all the time !

Jeremy was a 7yrs old special child amongst the many other normal kids in class . The teacher once taught the kids the meaning of EASTER . How Jesus died on the cross and how on the third day true to His promise , He rose from the dead . And that Easter means an empty tomb , means victory and triumph over sin and death. 

With Easter fast approaching the teacher gave the kids an egg shell and asked them to put something inside it that they could associate with Easter . Kids put different things in the shell that they thought reminded them of Easter . All but one had something inside their egg shell ! Hence the teacher went upto every student except Jeremy as he had an empty shell .

After all the kids left , Jeremy with tears rolling down his cheeks went up to the teacher and asked her why she never came upto him. The teacher thought that Jeremy did not understand the assignment . Jeremy said that Easter to him meant an “empty tomb” and that Christ is a risen saviour and is seated in the Heavenly places. That was his revelation of Easter - hence that would explain the empty shell !!

Now tears rolled down the teachers eyes . This one mentally challenged kid truly understood the true meaning of Easter ! 

Few months on Jeremy died . At the funeral all the kids turned up with an open empty eggshell in their hand which they placed next to Jeremy. They knew Jeremy triumphed in death and  is now with his risen saviour Christ in Heaven. 

Even today the story of Jeremy touches many lives . Hope it touches your !

We are now separated from the world . Grudgingly , happily or by force- but know that every season is with a reason !

This time too will pass 

But lets not waiver but be STEADFAST in LOVE for God and for others !

Couple of my watches required battery replacement …. but oufff the price in this region to change the battery can be more expensive than buying a new watch 🫠 However we figured out the place where we could get original batteries at half price and with a guarantee for 2 years .. woooo that was amazing .  The watch repairer was a very unassuming person who took his tools and carefully opened the side of the watch where the battery had to be replaced.  And boy the insides of the watch looked so amazing … intricately done and it needed someone with precision and understanding to get the watch working again . He also cleaned the inside and reset the time, date and in few minutes my watch was working and looked as good as new with a little bit of cleanup too in the inside and outside !! The wrong pin 🙃

All excited for our ladies day out , I headed to meet my friend for a time of fun and gastronomic treats . I followed the location pin she shared with me and once I heard “ you have arrived, your destination is to your right "  very expectantly I stepped out but to my utter disappointment could not locate the building where my friend lived. I argued with the security that the building should be somewhere around and that he might not be aware 🫢.  However when I called my friend she agreed to have made the mistake of sending me the location pin of her office instead of the residence pin 📌 🙆‍♀️. Humbled and apologising to the security I now had to reroute and drive to the right address being behind our schedule by 45 mins .   Putting things into perspective and applying this into life , how often do we blindly follow people , ideas , religion, and end up in places and situations that we least expect.   How is it we are so blind to the fact that there is only one TRUT...

For we are to God the fragrance of Christ

2 Corinthians   2:15   One Sunday morning on one of my metro rides in Delhi , I got super impressed when I saw a young gentleman(non Indian) carrying a big Bible with him . During our very short conversation he told me that he is new in Delhi and still figuring out a church to go to . I was happy to help and decided to give him my number when he asked me for the same.   However this was a bad decision. Despite him knowing that I have a family he started   to bother me with unwanted calls . It was getting too much that my husband had to intervene. He was upset that I trusted a stranger with my number. However I got easily misled by the big Bible that he was carrying and thought he would be a fine gentleman! Must say this incident left me to be more wiser and discerning. Carrying a Bible does not mean that we carry Christ like qualities in us . Christ like qualities translate into actions .
