Just wait -in 5 mins Mama !!

I call out to my son - come along food is served - his reply always would be - 5 mins mama. Come its prayer time - 5 mins mama !!! Don’t you have to study - 5 mins mama !! Hey can you come - I need some urgent help - 5 mins mama!! 

I felt quite at my wits end . His default answer to anything would be - in 5 mins ! 

While chatting with him the other day I shared an incident that happened with my nephew many years back . My cousin and his wife were chatting with their next door neighbours when their little boy who was just 5 yrs woke up from his sleep . Not seeing his parents around he started wailing thinking that the rapture had happened and his parents have been taken to heaven. What amazed me was that the little boy believed in rapture😄. As many of us still do doubt about it !! [ Matthew 24:39-42]

An article in the gulf new caught my eye ! A techie missed his flight back to India by a few minutes as he slept off in the waiting area post immigrations. With the lock down he is not allowed re-entry into UAE ( some rule with the visa ) He is in such a precarious situation. No luggage ,no visa ,no flights ,in a complete mess- neither here nor there !! As much as I think about it the message for us Christians is so clear in it #BEALERTALWAYS 

I told my boy how crucial time is and even if we are late by 2 mins or 5 mins we can miss our flights and most importantly when God has the trumpet call -would we say to Him - please can you wait for 5 mins ??!!

I think it resonated well with him . So now I tell him son - please can you come - he would say mama - give me 5---- eeerrr- coming right away 🤣

Always be alert and prepared -the day and the hour is coming and it will come when we least expect it . Are we being ready? Will our robes be white and spotless ? Without any dirty that we have carried along the way ? Will we have 5 decades , 5 years , 5 months , 5 hours , 5 days , 5 mins here on earth ??? No one knows -except our Creator ! [Mark 13:32]

Be ready , be holy,  be kind ,be watchful , be separated , be sinless. 

Be it in plenty or in want ,be it pain or in joy , be it in sickness or in health , at home or miles away from home , during freedom or in #STAYATHOME , let us look for reasons to thank God and be grateful for all His provisions and mercies . He is Jehovah JIreh - THE LORD Who PROVIDES !!

So wake up Sleeper 
Rise from the dead [ from darkness or the evil ways ]
So Christ Light may shine on you 
Ephesians 5:14

Couple of my watches required battery replacement …. but oufff the price in this region to change the battery can be more expensive than buying a new watch 🫠 However we figured out the place where we could get original batteries at half price and with a guarantee for 2 years .. woooo that was amazing .  The watch repairer was a very unassuming person who took his tools and carefully opened the side of the watch where the battery had to be replaced.  And boy the insides of the watch looked so amazing … intricately done and it needed someone with precision and understanding to get the watch working again . The wrong pin 🙃

All excited for our ladies day out , I headed to meet my friend for a time of fun and gastronomic treats . I followed the location pin she shared with me and once I heard “ you have arrived, your destination is to your right "  very expectantly I stepped out but to my utter disappointment could not locate the building where my friend lived. I argued with the security that the building should be somewhere around and that he might not be aware 🫢.  However when I called my friend she agreed to have made the mistake of sending me the location pin of her office instead of the residence pin 📌 🙆‍♀️. Humbled and apologising to the security I now had to reroute and drive to the right address being behind our schedule by 45 mins .   Putting things into perspective and applying this into life , how often do we blindly follow people , ideas , religion, and end up in places and situations that we least expect.   How is it we are so blind to the fact that there is only one TRUT...

2 Corinthians   2:15   One Sunday morning on one of my metro rides in Delhi , I got super impressed when I saw a young gentleman(non Indian) carrying a big Bible with him . During our very short conversation he told me that he is new in Delhi and still figuring out a church to go to . I was happy to help and decided to give him my number when he asked me for the same.   However this was a bad decision. Despite him knowing that I have a family he started   to bother me with unwanted calls . It was getting too much that my husband had to intervene. He was upset that I trusted a stranger with my number. However I got easily misled by the big Bible that he was carrying and thought he would be a fine gentleman! Must say this incident left me to be more wiser and discerning. Carrying a Bible does not mean that we carry Christ like qualities in us . Christ like qualities translate into actions .
