I call out to my son - come along food is served - his reply always would be - 5 mins mama. Come its prayer time - 5 mins mama !!! Don’t you have to study - 5 mins mama !! As a student of English literature I loved Wordsworth’s poems and the Shakespearean   Sonnets . I really missed folks back in our home country when we moved places.But now looking back it is amazing to know that God ordains and prepares for His Children well in advance . He had already prepared friends for me in the new neighbourhood and also good friends at church.   When I was new to the place and at my lowest , I used to get calls from my friends asking me out /over for coffee . December 2019 was truly a joyous time in many ways . Christmas, family visiting and the wedding of our dear cousin . The wedding brought many of our loved ones together and   felt so happy just reconnecting with our roots back home . The wedding day was beautiful and the bride and groom looked super gorgeous.The message that the priest shared that day was so beautiful that I thought I should share it here [ dont worry , it's not going to be a sermon but in a nutshell ] Obviously the theme was on marriage . It had three parts to it   Altar : Every marriage would have an altar which is symbolic of sacrifices that has to be made . It’s a relationship of giving and being selfless .   Candle : The priest drew an analogy between marriage and a candle . There are seasons and times in our life when we feel so crushed and pressed . We feel so low that we can touch the ground and wallow in self pity . Why is life unfair? The whining list can be endless !   We always forget that it’s only in the crushing we have the best of wine ,in the furnace and refining we get the beautiful gold jewellery   , in the moulding and prodding   and heating we get beautiful vessels or jars of clay .   Grapes 🍇 have to go through 5 stages before it reaches the wine 🍷 stage . Well I think the most talked about , the most feared or most forwarded whatsapp messages is about the Coronavirus! Many must also be wondering why I have not been writing all these days -yes must admit have been laid back but nothing to do with the virus 😊 But it’s alarming to see and know how this virus has taken the world by storm . It’s traveled ticketless to most parts of the world 😅 I see advertisements doing the rounds - 50% off to the theme parks , 75% off for certain attractions and steal deals in vacations ! Wish I could avail all of these offers as they are super duper deals. However people are avoiding crowded places , avoiding travel etc and hence the slash in rates!
