I have great memories of my growing up years . My dad and me used to make a great team as I was his favourite , my brothers will agree though grudgingly !!

Dad is quite good at pulling off some pranks and fortunately or unfortunately I have been a party to many of it. One being - for my parents 25th wedding anniversary, dad brought mom a beautiful saree ! Mom was so overwhelmed and excited and in-order to stretch the excitement further , he tampered with the price tag and added an extra digit. Mom was so ecstatic about the whole thing and also flaunted it off a bit to her friends very modestly 😃

Since Dad always had such things up his sleeves and me being his partner in crime, when he would tell me certain things I always wanted to ascertain the authenticity of the matter. When he would give up convincing me he would say these two lines :

Even if I were to cut open and show you my heart 
You would say that it's something else 

Those words always touched my soul and I would want to immediately believe him.

Sometimes in certain relationships it’s a real struggled to prove oneself . And sometimes I really wish  that I could show people my heart and show people how much I care or how much I value certain relationships !

Sitting for prayer , in my quiet time with my Heavenly Father [ quiet is a paradox here😁] - I ask Him why don’t people understand and when will people see my heart  and my intentions ! 

A gentle whisper silences me - Have I ever sought the "Father heart" ? Have I always seen the good in what He does for me ? Don’t I complain in situations and grapple with unnecessary things without even knowing the real intent of my Heavenly Father in all of it !!!

I heard a pastor speak about a lady missionary who would speak from the pulpit but her eyes would always be down . Many people would think that she was referring to her notes ! No she wasn’t’ . She was stitching something . Just as the sermon would finish she would hold up the back side of the cloth with the pattern that she was stitching . It really looked unclear and messy with threads crisscrossing . But when she used to turn the cloth around , a beautiful pattern would emerge ! Then she drew an analogy of the same with our lives . Sometimes we find no clarity in life and things are foggy ,sometimes we are not able to connect the dots and have no answers to the why’s ?

But surely someday , we will see the bigger picture and why God allowed certain things to happen in our lives ! So until then we persevere and wait for the bigger picture to unfold as we cross over to the other side in eternity 

Until then- seek the "Father heart" ! He only loves and He disciplines those whom He loves . He gave us His only son !!!! What more could we ask for. So seek Him when He is near and can be found[ Isaiah 55:6] . Also lay down all your needs before Him . Ask and so shall you receive ![ Matthew 7:7]

“ Which of you who are fathers, if your son asks for bread , will give him a stone , a snake instead of a fish ? If you, then , though you are evil , know how to give good gifts to your children , how much more will your Father in Heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him !

Couple of my watches required battery replacement …. but oufff the price in this region to change the battery can be more expensive than buying a new watch 🫠 However we figured out the place where we could get original batteries at half price and with a guarantee for 2 years .. woooo that was amazing .  The watch repairer was a very unassuming person who took his tools and carefully opened the side of the watch where the battery had to be replaced.  And boy the insides of the watch looked so amazing … intricately done and it needed someone with precision and understanding to get the watch working again . He also cleaned the inside and reset the time, date and in few minutes my watch was working and looked as good as new with a little bit of cleanup too in the inside and outside !! The wrong pin 🙃

All excited for our ladies day out , I headed to meet my friend for a time of fun and gastronomic treats . I followed the location pin she shared with me and once I heard “ you have arrived, your destination is to your right "  very expectantly I stepped out but to my utter disappointment could not locate the building where my friend lived. I argued with the security that the building should be somewhere around and that he might not be aware 🫢.  However when I called my friend she agreed to have made the mistake of sending me the location pin of her office instead of the residence pin 📌 🙆‍♀️. Humbled and apologising to the security I now had to reroute and drive to the right address being behind our schedule by 45 mins .   Putting things into perspective and applying this into life , how often do we blindly follow people , ideas , religion, and end up in places and situations that we least expect.   How is it we are so blind to the fact that there is only one TRUT...

2 Corinthians   2:15   One Sunday morning on one of my metro rides in Delhi , I got super impressed when I saw a young gentleman(non Indian) carrying a big Bible with him . During our very short conversation he told me that he is new in Delhi and still figuring out a church to go to . I was happy to help and decided to give him my number when he asked me for the same.   However this was a bad decision. Despite him knowing that I have a family he started   to bother me with unwanted calls . It was getting too much that my husband had to intervene. He was upset that I trusted a stranger with my number. However I got easily misled by the big Bible that he was carrying and thought he would be a fine gentleman! Must say this incident left me to be more wiser and discerning. Carrying a Bible does not mean that we carry Christ like qualities in us . Christ like qualities translate into actions .
