In my school days my best friend was my inspiration when it came to cooking . She was so passionate about it and used to fend for the family when her mom was away from home. I took a passion to cooking because of her. Most of my cooking I learnt from my friend and my mom . They were always willing to teach me and share their most prized recipes .   However I know of certain people who would keep recipes close to their chest. As much as I would want to probe and question they would not be forthcoming . Or probably would share part of it and hold back some major ingredients and try as much the outcome would be way different .   Once we received a very yummy Christmas cake baked by a friend's mom. One of the best I ever had . I so really wanted the recipe . The person really did not want to share it with us by saying that it’s an age old traditional family recipe . Finally he shared it with us and asked us not to share the recipe with any other person .  Though I mad

I love travel and when I got selected to join a reputed Travel company and my role would be to sells holidays it was like a dream come true. I was a very enthusiastic worker and   looked ahead each day to get to work . I must admit that I was very naive, no experience in travel and lacked all the necessary skills to be a counter sales person.   Once a senior retired official from the defence background signed up with us for a custom made tour spanning across Greece , Egypt and a couple of other countries. The visa filling can be a tough one when you have multiple countries in the itinerary . Though we had an ops team that supported the post sale processes I kind of stepped in to call up the client to tell him about a few next steps . I told him we were behind in the visa processing as the forms had not been signed as yet . And my solution to him was - “ Sir if you can’t come down to the office no worries , we will forge your signatures on the document , me and my team

Sit , lie , stand , heel is a command that my 12 year old gives to our little dachshund- Coffee in one breath . Also the tone and commanding demeanour is never to be missed . Though i think that it is a far fetched imagination that  Coffee can heed to all these commands in a go in her lifetime. But our son finds immense pride and happiness if she listens to even just one of the commands. I think as individuals we all have that instinct in us . We always want to be controlling and demanding . I had a very difficult pre and post pregnancy I  kind of slipped into a mini postpartum too. Since I had gone through quite a bit my expectations out of our son was very high.I was under the misconception that he needs to follow every word that I say to the T. Until God so made it evident through His word and wisdom that we are parents who have been blessed by God to be caretakers and custodians of children that He has entrusted us with .Kids or people are not puppet

I have a fetish for costume jewellery and love to keep changing them so as to suit the outfit that I am wearing . On the other hand my hubby feels that I should stop putting on fake stuff and only wear original or genuine stuff .   However with all the imitation jewellery being offered how can one really differentiate between what’s fake and what’s real ??   Similarly when it comes to people how do we really know the real from the fake, the good from the bad ? As all of us are so good at putting on masks that it becomes not only tough but next to impossible to really know the real person hiding behind the mask .   The caption of the blog for today is taken from Proverbs 31 verses 10 . Though the first half of the verse is highly debatable . It goes like this - A wife of noble character who can find ?
