Whom are you idolising ?

When I was young I ended up being a huge fan of Ravi Shashtri ( an Indian cricketer ).Every inch of the wall in my room had space   only for his pictures . Time changes and so does our passion and interests . One thing that I really regret is not knowing Our Lord early in life . Going for Sunday church service in my growing up years was a ritual .  Something  that needed to have a  ✅  on my Sunday calendar .  If wishes were horses I would turn around those years of my life   into something more purposeful and meaningful . Knowing my creator   in my youthful days [ Ecclesiastes 12:1 ] would mean walking in  His statutes and promises and making the right choices .  It's not too late even now for those who have regrets like I do . There is   nothing greater in this world than knowing our Lord. This love, peace    and joy in knowing our saviour cannot be traded for anything else.  Sow into the lives of others and your children an

Every season is with a reason

Soon after I got married my husband got a posting to Delhi and we were in Delhi for about fifteen odd years. I really disliked the extreme climate conditions Delhi had so much so that when summer came with the scorching heat I used to look forward   to winters and when winter's used to come with the biting cold I used to wait and long for summers 😅 .   So also in our lives , most of us do not live in the now . We either dwell in the past or worry about the future and hence miss out on enjoying the present . Tomorrow will have it’s own share of worries (Matthew 6:34) ! So why do we worry about tomorrow and miss the now? If you are going through a difficult season in your lives , our God is more than able to bring you through it. Just as He has done great things in the past He is able to do the same today as well. Stand on His word and His promises . He alone is mighty to save ( Zephaniah 3:17) and He is the one who trains our hands for battle ( Psalm 144:1).

He died in my place so that I might LIVE

We might remember a lot of movies where the protagonist dies in place of his / her lover and some other who wants to sacrifice their lives for the sake of their loved ones . We walk out of the movie hall with a lump in our throat or with heavy hearts as the story and acting on screen suddenly becomes so real and we get carried away by the story line 🙆‍♀️ Do you remember any single movie or story that has the protagonist dying in place of his enemy 😅 ? Have you not seen hell breaking loose until the protagonist settles scores and is only at peace once he vanquishes his enemies and is proclaimed a hero?  😎 Our protagonist in real life and in our Bible is Jesus . Who being the son of God not only was born in a humble home to Mary & Joseph but also became obedient to the point of dying on the cross for us .   Such love did the Father have for us that He gave up His only son to die so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life . John 3:16

The Bridegroom and His Bride

Jesus the Groom and the Church His Bride  Did you know that the olden days Jewish wedding ceremony is a detailed illustration of the Messiah's relationship to His bride ? It was such a revelation for me personally to understand in a new way how the   Jewish wedding ceremony is such a foreshadow to Christ's relationship with the   Church - His   bride !Felt really nudged in my heart to share it with each one of you.  Its a little long   read but sure at the end of it you will see things in such a new  light 💜 To initiate a Jewish wedding , the first and foremost step was for the father of  the   groom to find the right match for his son or to delegate this responsibility to   someone trustworthy . The next was the girl accepting the wedding proposal  and her consent was definitely   a must 👏 . After this there was a written contract  signed -which includes the provisions and   conditions of the proposed marriage  where in the groom promises to support   his wife.  Then c

I look up to the mountains where does my help come from ?   My help comes from the Lord the maker of heaven and earth ! Psalm 121   When we are in need or in the cross roads of life and need help whom do we turn to ? Our immediate best option is and has always been our family, friends or people of affluence who we believe can take us through our difficult times . Sometimes help comes easily and we tend to fall back on them over and over again . There are also times when we feel let down and cant move even an inch forward.   The Bible says can a mother ever forsake the child at her breast ? Even if she does I will never ever forsake you ! Isaiah 49:15  What an assurance ♥️ My mother is my best friend and well wisher and cant ever imagine her letting me down . But there has been so many life changing incidents in my life where I needed supernatural intervention. In tho
