A two way street


 








I am sure most of you can relate to this one - or may we be awakened to the fact that every relationship is a two way street . Be it in a marriage, between siblings, between friends , parents & children.. and the many other relationships that we have. 

The fuel to keep every relationship alive is love and a one way relationship does not last long. It either dies down or burns out . It’s a struggle to keep the flame alive . 


Though we have people say - you know what - though we have not been in touch, you have always been in my heart and in my thoughts. Probably that's a mutual love and understanding that is echoed in that relationship. In some relationship we see the expectation is one sided as it's a done thing and designed that way- is that so ?? Some relationship are a relationship of convenience ! 


Do you have friends or family who never stays in touch - and are you the one making all the effort ! Its then a one sided relationship ! Beware it may soon burn out. 


The Lord God that we serve is a Relational God . Who pursues us , loves us and is mindful of us. He never gives up on us and loves to be in a relationship with us . He knows each one of us individually and has our name engraved in the very palm of His hand . [ Isaiah 49: 16]


Are we in a relationship with Him - or have we made this a relationship of convenience ! I want a miracle Lord , I want healing Lord , I want a job Lord , I want I want I want - and many times we receive and we don’t even go back to say thank you Lord . For when the breakthroughs comes we think and believe it's our right to receive ! 


Do you love God and pursue the things Of God ! Have you fallen in love with His Word , do you wish to do His Will or is it just your need alone versus love for God and doing His will ! 


Therefore let all the faithful pray to you while you may be found [ Psalm 32: 6] . A gentle reminder in the scripture that there may be a time when time for you & me will be no more . Don’t wait for the last moment - it may be very late ! 


Jesus knocks at the door of your heart ❤️

Couple of my watches required battery replacement …. but oufff the price in this region to change the battery can be more expensive than buying a new watch šŸ«  However we figured out the place where we could get original batteries at half price and with a guarantee for 2 years .. woooo that was amazing .  The watch repairer was a very unassuming person who took his tools and carefully opened the side of the watch where the battery had to be replaced.  And boy the insides of the watch looked so amazing … intricately done and it needed someone with precision and understanding to get the watch working again . The wrong pin šŸ™ƒ

All excited for our ladies day out , I headed to meet my friend for a time of fun and gastronomic treats . I followed the location pin she shared with me and once I heard “ you have arrived, your destination is to your right "  very expectantly I stepped out but to my utter disappointment could not locate the building where my friend lived. I argued with the security that the building should be somewhere around and that he might not be aware šŸ«¢.  However when I called my friend she agreed to have made the mistake of sending me the location pin of her office instead of the residence pin šŸ“Œ šŸ™†‍♀️. Humbled and apologising to the security I now had to reroute and drive to the right address being behind our schedule by 45 mins .   Putting things into perspective and applying this into life , how often do we blindly follow people , ideas , religion, and end up in places and situations that we least expect.   How is it we are so blind to the fact that there is only one TRUT...

2 Corinthians   2:15   One Sunday morning on one of my metro rides in Delhi , I got super impressed when I saw a young gentleman(non Indian) carrying a big Bible with him . During our very short conversation he told me that he is new in Delhi and still figuring out a church to go to . I was happy to help and decided to give him my number when he asked me for the same.   However this was a bad decision. Despite him knowing that I have a family he started   to bother me with unwanted calls . It was getting too much that my husband had to intervene. He was upset that I trusted a stranger with my number. However I got easily misled by the big Bible that he was carrying and thought he would be a fine gentleman! Must say this incident left me to be more wiser and discerning. Carrying a Bible does not mean that we carry Christ like qualities in us . Christ like qualities translate into actions .
